The Junior department continues to build upon the skills developed during the infant years and the variety of experiences and learning are enhanced.

The curriculum is subject based with English, Maths, French, History, Geography, Kiswahili, Music, Information Communication Technology, Science, Physical Education, Art and Design and Design Technology.

The courses are designed at developing logical thinking, an understanding of the immediate environment and an empathy with the world in which we live. They are aimed at being enjoyable, creative and communicative experiences.  

St Constantine’s International School offers new Cambridge International Primary Programme.

 

St Constantine’s International School has been awarded membership of the Cambridge International Primary Programme by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the world’s leading provider of International assessments. As a member of the Cambridge International Primary Programme, St Constantine’s International School will be able to use the Cambridge International Primary Programme, which helps teachers develop Mathematics, English and Science skills and knowledge in young children. The Primary Programme provides guidance for curriculum development and classroom teaching and learning, and it allows teachers to assess children’s learning as they progress.

The Environment

The environment at SCIS is attractive and welcoming to all.  Students enjoy full use if the recreation, and sports grounds as well as the two swimming pools. 

Extra Curricular Activities 

We feel that extra curricular activities are an important part of a child's all around development. Many out of school hours activities take place.  Educational trips are frequently arranged by the teachers as well as the social activities. We have a thriving sports department that organizes interschool matches in different sports and also weekly inter-house competitions.
The pupils are taught to observe the conventions of fair play, honest competition and good sporting behavior as individual participants, team members and spectators
.

After school

Mondays and Wednesdays the teachers hold clubs and extend their knowledge and interests to the pupils.  The topics on differ from term to term and usually include such activities as football, netball, art, drama etc.
