SCIS is a beautiful school
that has been educating students from more than 20 nations for well over 50
years. Set along Dodoma Raod bordering Burka Estate and less than 10 kilometers
from Arusha on a 35 acre campus, it is a 'world of academic excellence and
achievement'. Classes are small, and the students’ work and progress are
carefully assessed and
monitored by the Teachers.
Since the School was established, it has enabled many ambitious young people to excel in life and careers. Numerous alumni have studied and done us proud in many academic fields. They will be found at Universities all over the world – Africa, Asia, USA, Canada and Europe.
The School offers Nursery education, Primary Education following CIPP Programme, Cambridge Checkpoint system, Cambridge IGCSEs, As/A level Cambridge GCE, UCAS and general placement counselling as well as high levels of individual care and attention. English is the medium of instruction and the school has celebrated brilliant results in the last couple of years at all levels.
SCIS is a full Cambridge Centre, a member of AISA [Association of International Schools in Africa] and is the first school in Tanzania to be ISO9001:2000 certified. ISO certification ensures that we maintain and provide quality education that meets global standards of the best available.
The campus is beautiful with a huge capacity for expansion. The school has been here for a long time but modern facilities have been developed – including 2 swimming pools, ultra modern computer labs, 3 new science labs, 5 new primary classrooms and an office block. The library is undergoing a huge facelift with an objective of making it the centre for learning at the school. With a recently constructed Basketball court and 3 playing fields, there is something for everyone at SCIS.
The school treats each individual with the care and attention that a larger school cannot possibly do; it is therefore a home for many students who in turn develop into confident youth.
